Student/Parent/Staff
Compact
Research
shows:
-
Children
are more likely to succeed in learning when their familes actively
support them.
- Parent
involvement is correlated with higher grades and test scores, better
school attendance, and a positive attitude and self-concept for students.
- Achievement
gains are most significant and long lasting when involvement is begun
at an early age.
- Reading
aloud to a child can be the single most important factor in a child's
school success.
The
purpose of this compact is to demonstrate the belief that student
achievement is a shared responsibility between students, parents,
and staff.
