Notify
parents about their child's eligibility and the process used to
qualify for Title I services.
Develop
and distribute a Student/Parent/Teacher
Compact to communicate that
student achievement is a shared responsibility.
Notify
parents of ways in which they can become involved in their child's
education.
Coordinate
with other resources and services such as Head Start, Michigan School
Readiness, and Child Advocacy.
Provide
materials and/or training to parents about how they can help their
child at home improve their academic achievement.
Provide
parents with periodic updates on their child's academic progress
through progress reports, report cards, MEAP test results, and parent-teacher
conferences.
Incluce
parents as members on the District Excellence School Improvement
Team.
Conduct
an annual meeting to evaluate the effectivenss of the Title I program
and help plan for next year.
Hold
parent involvement events at varying times to help accommocate differing
parent schedules.
Inform
parents of their right to know the qualifications of their child's
classroom teacher.
